gxx is not needed at all, gcc can do the right stuff without 
problems.

What lines? is that the textual message?

That's because RHIDE doesn't need gxx at all.

Try filling a bug report (Alt-Space menu), it will compile a small C 
program and a small C++ program in your machine. Post the results.
