Then how come you still have problems with `cat' and such likes?

This is user-dependent.  Not everybody uses these programs to run
shell scripts and Makefiles.  Others might need e.g. Fileutils alone,
and I would not want to force them to download a multi-megabyte file.

It is also quite a nuisance to lump together programs which are
released separately by the GNU project, since every binary
distribution needs to be accompained by the sources.

I really don't see any problem in asking people to download several
files instead of one.  After all, DJGPP is already a lot of separate
files, not a single large one.
