Your best bet would be getting a book. My personal favorites on the C
programming language are Teach Yourself C Programming in 21 Days,
which is an international bestseller and in my opinion the most
easy-going C book out there, and C by Dissection 3rd Edition which is
a little hard-going at times if you're a newbie but it's the best
reference book I've come across and covers all the little details and
kludges that you won't find in other books. It also goes straight to
the point and doesn't waste your time on bullshiting (I do enjoy
irrelevancies as displayed in Zen of Graphics Programming ;)). It has
a slight academic feel to it but the more I read it the more I tend to
like it.

On the other hand, the best C++ book I've come across is Teach
Yourself C++ Programming in 21 Days and another nice C++ book I've
read is C++ Primer Plus 2nd Edition.

Good luck!
