I am having a problem trying to recompile the binutils under DJGPP v2...
AFAIK, I have all the necessary packages installed (per the readme.djp
file) -- although I am uncertain as to which version of patch I should be
using.
Here is the output:
=================================
h:\djgpp\gnu\binutl-2.81>configure
Applying DJGPP specific patches ...
can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|--- binutils/nlmconv.c~ Wed Apr 30 18:59:12 1997
|+++ binutils/nlmconv.c Sat Jun 28 21:39:44 1997
--------------------------
File to patch:
=================================
Strangely enough, if I manually type binutils/nlmconv.c it finds the file
with no problem....
what gives? Even if I manually type in every filename it requests I get the
following errors:
==================================
File to patch: config/mh-go32
patching file `config/mh-go32'
patching file `Makefile.in'
Hunk #1 FAILED at 132.
Hunk #2 FAILED at 322.
2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to Makefile.in.rej
.
.
.
similar errors involving:
bfd/targets.c
gas/config/tc-i386.c
==================================
Finally, the script bombs with:
Configuring libiberty...
*** ../configure: unable to link "alloca-conf.h" to "./alloca-norm.h".
Configure in //h/djgpp/gnu/binutl-2.81/libiberty failed, exiting.
Any ideas?
