When (if ever) will there be an 'official' Windows version of DJGPP and 
Allegro? Writing games for DOS is now a very out of date thing, and the 
lack of a proper Windows version may harm my games when they are 
released.

I know that there is a DirectX port of Allegro in progress, but when are 
we likely to see not just a port but a fully Windows-dedicated version of 
Allegro or DJGPP?
