Hmm. interesting maths, I make 1600*1600*1 = 2.44Mb. 
You seem to have 1600*1600*256 = 625Mb, thats a colour 
depth of 2^2048 (2 to the power 2048), that's an 
awfully high number of colours! (I make 2^256 > 1.15*10^77).
Of course if you meant 625M_bits_ of RAM I'll shut up, 
otherwise you were out by two orders of magnitude.
