	Hello.

This is to announce a new version of the PPCol library.

	Changes since last version:

============ 1.1 Final version (26 June 1998, released) ============

        Added debugging support.

Slightly faster check_pp_collision() routine (6% on my 5x86, measured
with Peter's BMARK.C program without drawing the sprites on the
        screen).

EX1.C now call destroy_ppcol_mask() to release the memory of the
        masks.

Changed a bit the license, legal issues and conditions of use.

Added support for knowing/reporting the version of the library.

====================== EOF CHANGELOG =========================

For who doesn't know:

PPCol version 1.1 is a library for Allegro that serves to detect collisions
between 2 sprites.

Features:

          Bounding box collision detection macro.
Bitmasked pixel perfect collision detection routines. Not
supports RLE or COMPILED sprites.
Normal (pixel-by-pixel based) pixel perfect collision detection
routines. Supports only memory sprites of any bitdepth: 8, 15, 16, 24 and
32 bpp.
Rich documentation in the format of the Allegro Makedoc utility,
this allows to create the documentation in any format supported by the
Makedoc utility (TXT, HTML, INFO, etc.).
Example program showing the use of all the routines and a
benchmarking program.
A Makefile to automatize and easy the building of the library,
its documentation and its programs.
          Debugging support.
          Comes in source code format.
Totally Freeware (look for the license in the documentation).

You can download it from my homepage. The exact URL is
http://members.xoom.com/baldo/ppcol11.zip (24kb).

Not yet but in a few days you can (if DJ allows) download it from any
Simtelnet mirror, the address is
ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2tk/allegro/ppcol11.zip (24Kb).

I have a question: it is a good or bad idea to crosspost between the
Allegro mailing list and the DJGPP Announce mailing list/newsgroup?
If it is bad sorry... tellme and I will not do it again...

Ok, thanks and goodbye for all!
