It usually means that you are writing past the end of the array.  Run the 
SYMIFY program immediately after the program crashes, and it will display 
the place where the problem happens.  For more details, see section 9.2 
of the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq210b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP).
