Good point. I forgot about it disabling a lot of the memory protection.
Ya can always use a graphics library like Allegro until you feel that
everything is running fine to do this hack if you want to...
I prefer using Allegro myself, instead of writing my own (well, porting
from watcom) graphics lib. (i wrote one for watcom - very simple stuff
is supported... nothing major.)
