Subject: Announce : JGMOD with XM support
Date: Sun, 14 Jun 1998 22:34:00 +0800
MIME-Version: 1.0

I have just uploaded JGMOD (date 14 June) to my homepage. This time, it
supports XM but not very good at it yet. Anyway, I am uploading this
because of complete standard S3M effects support.

What's new
-----------------
XM supported
S3M retrig supported
set_mod_speed() no longer increase pitch
new set_mod_pitch() to increase pitch
Protracker fine porta up and down implemented (I have forgotten this
somehow)

XM effects unsupported
----------------------------------
Arpeggio
Key Off
Set envelop Position
Volume Envelope
Panning Envelope
Auto Vibrato

Problems with this version
--------------------------------------
Since JGMOD doesn't support envelopes yet, I have implemented note off and
key off as note cut. Some of the instruments in XM doesn't end until the
next note. This is also because of unsupported envelopes. If anyone knows
on how sustain envelopes work, please explain to me. Also, some of the
notes are played wrongly which are played at 10000Hz.

If newbies, JGMOD is a MOD playing library for Allegro. It can be obtained
