It is an issue.  As I understand it, LFN support is available only
through Windows API calls, and there's no way to make those from a DOS
program running in a DOS box.  That said, Andrew Crabtree has written a
program which acts as a shim and allows LFNs to work on NT.  I'm sure he
would appreciate the testing.  Search the archives for the announcement;
I don't think it was that long ago.
