Subject: RHIDE on OS/2 Warp 3 crashes
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.3.93.980603185049.18911P-100000@acp3bf>
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hello,

recently, I tried running DJGPP inside OS/2 Warp 3 for Windows, (the
original version), more out of interest than to actually work there.

It turned out that although DJGPP itself was working fine, RHIDE didn't
work at all. Seems like it crashes with (SIGINT or SIGSEGV, don't remember
exactly) every time it tries to write the project or desktop file (it
always came out with a 0 bytes long .gpr, and no desktop file). It crashes
both on F9 (Compile project) and on Alt+X (Exit RHIDE). This happened
with a simple one-file 'hello.c' or 'hello.cc' project.

Versions: RHIDE 1.4 (as found on SimTel CD's)
          DJGPP 2.01
          gcc 2.7.2.1
          binutils 2.8.1

Does this sound familiar to anyone (know a fix? tell me, please), or will
I have to collect all the bits and build myself a debuggable version of
RHIDE to nail it down?
