The Allegro graphics sources seem to be written in C, not ASM, and do not
support Open GL so I imagine no.

The Allegro 3D functions are nowhere near powerful enough to do Quake-style
graphics.

Although Quake was written in DJGPP, I cannot imagine that ID would write
the graphics engine in C. If I were writing Quake, all graphics functions
would be written in ASM. That is, if I knew how to program in ASM :^)
