If you want stuff by mail, there's an ftpmail server I've had some success
with. Send mail containing "help" to <ftpmail AT pub1 DOT bryant DOT vix DOT com>. You can
fetch files from any ftp server, uuencoded and optionally compressed, up to
10 at a time. A drawback is that it only allows one `chdir' per job, making
it tedious to search for files if you don't know where they are. But that
shouldn't be much of a problem here.
