Huhuh. Yes, if everyone first read the FAQ and all README.DOSes, this
newsgroup would be almost empty... :)

This is a compatibility for v1 I think. It is not necessary if one
puts `set DJGPP=d:/dir/djgpp/djgpp.env' in his autoexec.

This is not true. According to DJ himself, both should (and do) work.

Yes, especially Eli and the Aldrich/Eldredge couple (what's in a
name!) are notorious for answering almost every single question.
