If you try to build JPDEMO using the provided makefile and gcc 2.8.1, 
you'll encounter some linkage problems.

To avoid them, edit the 'makefile' file in the DEMO subdirectory, and 
replace

gcc -s -o jpdemo.exe jpdemo.o libjptui.a -lgpp

by

gxx -s -o jpdemo.exe jpdemo.o libjptui.a
