Never use Borland ! It has a very bad compiller, lots of BUGS, etc....
Visual C would be better.

You can get some parts of Visual C from my homepage.
There is a DirectX example.
Sorry, homepage is hungarian.
You can get the Viusal C compiller from there. You can make GUI programs
with it.

You cannot use that for commercial products, then you have to buy Visual
C
