I meant one of the go32 service functions.
In fact, the one I was refering to was a DPMI service, not go32.

IIRC it is called dpmi_get_free_memory_info
The field reporting the number of free physical pages is not guaranteed
to be present.
Under PMODE./DJ and the (experimental) Caldera DPMI server, the result
is -1, which reports -4096 bytes free.
