I use near pointers ("djgpp_nearptr_enable()"), and have no problems with
it.

But since i've seen Shawn Hargrevea's Allegro lib, i dont wanna use my own
lib any longer.
You can download the source code of Allegro (very small) and look
 how everything can be done. (from grafix to sound to more...)
