A DJGPP port of Sed is available as v2gnu/sed118b.zip, from the same 
place you got DJGPP.  But you shouldn't need Sed to install binaries, 
only to build some of the packages from sources.

The FAQ tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth AT THE TIME THE 
FAQ WAS WRITTEN.  GCC 2.8.0 were released only recently, and the FAQ 
doesn't yet cover its peculiarities.  You should read the README file 
which comes with GCC 2.8.0 carefully and do everything it tells you to 
do.  Don't be intimidated by the length of that README: what it says is 
*important*, so please read it in its entirety.

This is a wrong way to solve problems.  cc1plus is *supposed* to be in 
that ``strange long directory'', do NOT copy it to bin.  Once again, the 
README file which comes with gcc explains how to set it up correctly.  If 
you do everything it says, things will begin to work for you.  Randomly 
poking around and moving files based on a hunch is a bad idea.
