Are you checking the return value of `install_mouse()'?  If it returns
-1, the user does not have a mouse driver loaded, and Allegro can't
work without one.  Windows 95 simulates a mouse driver for DOS boxes,
so one is already available in that environment; when Windows 95 is
not running you must load one yourself.

If this is the cause of the problem, make sure your mouse driver is
being loaded -- your mouse should have come with a mouse driver; if
not perhaps you can download one from the Internet.
