The code you downloaded is incompatible with DJGPP. It uses inline
assembly syntax from MSC or similar compiler. DJGPP uses a totally
different (and much more powerful) inline assembly syntax.

Huh? I think sections 18.13 and 17.1 are what you are looking for, and
they should explain quite a lot.
