Better yet, if you can do arbitrary filtering on headers, you can look for
the header:

X-Mailing-List: djgpp AT delorie DOT com

This should be totally foolproof.

ip', but do not use `-g' -> You will get function
names and byte offsets from the beginning of the function.

You use `-g' and not `-s' or `strip' -> You will get the above, plus file
name and line number.

Hence, use `-g' if possible.

driver provided by my video card manufacturer; I'm
not sure right now whether that could be at all related.

Consider getting the patched libc from 

ftp://ftp.lstm.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/pub/djgpp/patches

I can't think offhand of any fixed bugs that might cause this, but since you
say that calling DOS yourself fixes it, it might be worth a try.
