OK, after some qualified their answers as 'hearsay' already, let me,
as an active member of the gnuplot beta developers' team, give a more
definite one:

As others already pointed out here, the next version of gnuplot, 3.6,
will come with a ready-made makefile.dj2, using DJGPP V2 and
GRX2. Just in case, there's even a makefile.djg for DJGPP V1 and GRX1
or GRX2. We even introduced the necessary changes to allow the usual
autoconf-script to run in DJGPP's Bash, if anyone wants to do that.

gnuplot 3.6 (still) isn't officially released yet, but you can get a
public beta-release here (written as an URL):

Regarding 3.5 compilation: I do have a DJGPP/GRX2 makefile and a GRX
output driver for 3.5, too. But unless there's a real good reason to
stick with 3.5, I'd always advise to get pre-3.6: it's more stable
than 3.5 ever was, has loads of new capabilities built in (fit,
multiplot, enhanced postscript output, user-settable linewidth, ...),
and most known bugs are fixed, of course.
