Since some time now, I've leared about the very usefull graphic
capabilities that Scitech's Univbe has to offer. However, something has
been bothering me for some time now: Univbe isn't free. As I am
programming freeware myself, I can'y use the VESA 2 graphical modes in my
programs without "forcing" the user of my programs to buy Univbe, wich is
unacceptable to me. That is why I'm wondering if anybody is working on
a free VESA 2 driver wich replaces Univbe? If there's no-one working on
this, I might be interested in programming such a driver myself, with the
intention of making it work with Allegro. (When i find some time :|)
The question is then: where can I find the required documentation (without
having to pay tons of money to the VESA organisation)? Finally I want to
apologise for this being slightly off-topic.
Thanks in advance.
