What happens if you don't move gxx.c?

You should only need to say "make install".  If it doesn't work, try
"make install prefix=${DJDIR}".  If that doesn't work either, it's
probably a bug in the ported package; please report any error
message(s) you see.

Please also note that the GCC installation instructions specifically
tell that if you requested special non-default compilation switches
when building GCC, like in "make CFLAGS=-O2", you need to use the same
switches when saying "make install".  Otherwise things might not work
(it's a long story).
