GNU software for Windows 95 and Windows NT

What it is
These tools bring the power of GNU software to the Windows 95 and
Windows NT platforms. The development tools are based on the GNU C
compiler and use the CRTDLL.DLL runtime libary which is a standard
component of both Windows 95 and Windows NT. The compiler, and the
programs created with it, run on any NT or Windows 95 PC without the
need for any additional DLL's. This makes it easy to setup. All
documentation is supplied in Windows Help format.

News
8-mar-1998: GCC 2.8.1 binaries available.
GCC 2.8.1 was released Wednesday, March 4. Mingw32 binaries are
available. GCC-2.8.1 is an FSF bugfix release; no new features were
added. If you use C++, upgrade libstdc++ to version 2.8.1 too.

There are no good free Windows programming sites. Windows programming
is generally a money making activity. And you learn it by subscribing
to the MSDN ($$$$).

If you don't believe me, try finding a free genuine (not ported) windows
program with source from the internet that does what GNU software
does---replacing the tool set of the Windows operating system, one piece
at a time. Try the easiest one, something like a GNU Notepad!
