Come on, people, don't you read the README files?  It's all there, you
know, that's why I went through the trouble of writing that README.dos
thing.

Set LFN=y in the environment, and most probably Emacs will start up
smooth as silk.  (I assume you tried to run it in Windows 95, although
you left me guessing in the dark.)

``errors with variables while downloading''??  Are you sure?  Please
post the exact wording of the message(s).  I have never seen anything
like that, and Emacs works flawlessly on NT as well.
