You know, PGP source has been available and open ever since people 
could figure out how to say the words "public key cryptography", let 
alone understand what it means.  I have source for 2.6.3i, which is 
the international version and doesn't mess around with US 
restrictions on strong encryption.

I think you might try something like http://www.pgpi.com or something 
like that, or enter PGP into a Yahoo search.  PGP does up to 2048 bit 
encryption in its latest versions as I recall, or were they working 
on it?

This is the bread and butter of the cypherpunks too.  Probably one or 
two other than myself will probably admit to following their lists.  
You may want to sign up to their lists, if you dare;  they still take 
serious questions on cryptography, even from novices.
