Well, I have the same need. This is not an easy task. I have been
given some pointers and have looked at some code on how to do this, but
it is very complex. It involves a lot of math and speed tests.
I was given the advice to look at Intel's web site. Intel does not give
any 'readable' information on how this is done. I was hoping for a link
to "code to display cpu speed" or something. Their web site is cryptic
at best. What is the nature of your program anyway? Mine was an
inventory program (what cpu, amt of memory, what video card...).

I wish I could give you more information. If you happen to get
something and forward the info on to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Good luck,

Johnny P.
