Simple. Compile something with DJGPP. It will automatically run in 32-bit
protected mode, and only in 32-bit protected mode!

To test this, write a short program that mallocks about six megabytes, and
compile and run it, using DJGPP. It will work without a NULL return unless
you use a really really tiny computer :-)
Then try a program that casts a random number to a pointer and writes
through it, and watch the stack trace print on your screen (instead of
some unpredictable weird event like a hang or a crash&burn).
