I used to use DJGPP v1, Borland Turbo C/C++ v2 and Microsoft C v5
(*not* C++!). That was back in the days of DJGPP v1, when I found it
pretty much essential to use batch files (mine were DJGO.BAT and
DJSTOP.BAT) to set and unset the environment variables -- v1 required
so many long variables I'd always be very short of environment space
when I used it.
