First of all, you've come to the wrong place for unbiased opinions (this
*is* comp.os.msdos.*djgpp*, after all), but anyway...

In a word, yes. The GCC compiler is very good as far as code generation, the
library is quite stable and well-featured... I could go on and on.
I think one of the most impressive aspects is the support. All the traffic
on this newsgroup is basically that. And with sources freely available,
anyone can help with problems, not just underpaid tech support droids. If
bugs do show up, DJGPP wins there too. Can you report a bug to Micro$oft and
get a patch within a day? I think not, but that's not unusual here.

To sum up, go for it. I think you'll be happy.
