HiHo,
I asked, and he replied:

'So a PV is supported under the following platforms/compilers:
- Dos = > Watcom 11
- Win32 => Visual C 5.0
- Unices (including Linux & SunOS) => GNU gcc 2.7.2 & pgcc (PentiumGCC)

So there is no official support for DJGPP under dos. BUT, I compiled one

time for the last release a DJGPP version of the lib. The problems is
that :
- The viewer and samples program need a Video library that is not ported

under DJGPP (as far as I know, maybe now it is), so it's some work to
port all the samples.
- DJGPP mess some things with the FPU (It activates FPU exceptions if I
remember well) and that's a bad thing. Someone told me he gets rid of
this problem with _fcontrol() call, but I don't know more.
- DJGPP is slow to compile, and generates poor code for Pentiums.

Regards,
Oli'

so now we've got the facts,
                                                    Michael
