Please capture the exact output of 'make' and post it here; simply
knowing that it returns with -1 doesn't help much.  Usually, -1
indicates some sort of runtime error, like a crash or user break.  Use
the following command:

   redir -o make.out -eo make

Then post the file named 'make.out'.
