Aren't you forgetting that this ``ridiculous'' GPL was the one that
enabled you to have all these wonderful development tools in the first
place?

If GPL is so much unacceptable to you, you can always either write
your own replacements for buggy library functions, like you would with
commercial compilers, or work around the bugs in the application code,
or live with the bugs.
