I don't know anything about Alpha/NT.  Can it run binaries which were
compiled for the x86 CPUs?  Does it have some x86-emulator built into
it?

DJGPP binaries are compiled for x86 CPUs.  Unless Alpha/NT can run
such binaries, DJGPP won't work for you.

Which of the DJGPP programs run during compilation causes this?
Please add -v to the compilation command line and post here everything
that is printed.

Also, please try invoking other DJGPP programs, e.g. go32-v2, and see
if they also fail in this way.
