I've got about half a year's worth of C experience, but absolutely no 
experience with programming graphics.  I just got DJGPP and Allegro, but 
I can't figure out how to use many of Allegro's functions (in-code 
examples would be extremely useful).  I've searched the net for hours 
looking for good info on programming graphics (Mode-X specifically), but 
have had no luck.

If anyone knows where I can find a beginner's-level tutorial on Allegro 
or graphics programming, I'd be greatful if you could help me.
