I don't use C++ at all, but I know--or at least am pretty sure--of 
one thing:

the language includes printf() as a standard library function, and 
you can at least control output--including integer and real number 
format--to stdout through this function.  You might want to become 
familiar with your particular implementation's printf(), then also 
consider that you may want it to be portable as well...although when 
dealing with addresses....
