I put it off for a while, but I have to ask if anyone knows why this happens:

I write something in RHIDE, I compile it, and then when it is linking, when LD
is running, everything stops...after a while my zip drive starts up (after
being in "sleep" mode), and then linking finishes. From then on, linking
happens without the zip drive being consulted.

My zip drive has nothing to do with the process, as far as I know. The zip
drive is not the tmpdir or anything. It does take a while for the zip drive to
wake up, and it would be very nice to be able to make LD stop whatever it is
doing.
