Robert (RHIDE author) tried it, don't know about debug. But gdb (the debuger
inside RHIDE) lacks A LOT of features to debug Windows programs like analyze 
and filter messages in WinMain.

It have an IDE in the package, I never tried it (I doubt it have debugger, no 
sure).

Epa! Si querés meterte en Windows el djgpp no te va a resultar lo más simple.
El problema es que el djgpp está pensado para DOS, usándolo vas a tener la 
misma tecnológía que había hace 5 años atrás para programar Windows. Es decir 
que todo te va a llevar más trabajo, eso sí, vas a entender como funciona el 
ejecutable perfecto. 
Yo hice algunos programas para Windows 3.1 en C a fines del '92, principio del 
'93 y es bastante pesado, con el djgpp vas a estar en esa situación.
Actualmente los paquetes visuales (como Visual C++) son más simples ya que te 
ahorran codificar toneladas de líneas al pedo. Lamentablemente tenés que 
truchar una copia ya que no hay nada gratarola.
Por el resto el djgpp es excelente, podés generar código de 32 bits para 
Windows con muy buena optimización.
