Please post all the information to the gnu.utils.bug news group (or write 
to bug-gnu-utils AT prep DOT ai DOT mit DOT edu, if you prefer e-mail).  The maintainers 
of the Binutils read that group regulalry and will most probably give you 
the definitive answer.
