Well, actually, I do know how to get access to the long file names.
Unfortunately, we need
a whole lot more than just access to them.

You must be joking.  No Microsoft Product since Dos 3.3 has been document
well.

I think you are referring to 32 bit console applications.  DJGPP does not
fall into this category.
