I figured I'd update you on the situation... The was as I reported it...
with several of the GPRs I opened - however - it may have (and probably was)
the GDT causing the problem...

I was asked by one of the many (you know who they are ; ) concerned
volunteer folk involved in making Rhide/Djgpp/Allegro, who check in at this
newsgroup, if he could check out the project that had crashed...

    You gotta love those guys!

Anyhow... I had deleted many of the 1.3 GPRs (and GDTs)... and when I
found a 1.3 GPR, GDT pair.... I decide to check if it was the known problem
with the older GDTs...

... I moved the file - and the GPR worked...

... then I moved the GPR back (overrighting the 1.4 gpr)... and when I tried
to load it... and as you describe Tony - I mearly got an error message...

I don't know why I got the error I did the first several times I tried
opening GPRs - but I'd have to assume it was a GDT problem....(the cursor moved
around when keys were pressed... but no window was opened... I couldn't use the
ALT+whatever keys - or exit the program)
  - but it didn't show up again... I don't know... I feel like maybe I posted
too soon... figuring I was being helpful.

     I love RHIDE btw...
