I think you will have a hard time convincing anyone who has read this
newsgroup consistently that Eli gave anything but a very useful answer,
especially considering that he maintains the FAQ and has never been
anything but considerate and polite in answering questions.
The information in the FAQ, from personal experience, does a very good
job of answering all the major questions that arise in the installation
and use of DJGPP. There is no reason for Eli to continually post
complete answers to questions that arise again and again and again and
again. Most of us are grateful for accurate references to sections of
the FAQ. Neither Eli nor anyone else is required to help you. Everyone
who actively participates in providing answers to your questions does so
altruistically. It is both illogical and unwelcome to demonstrate such
disrepect to a person who has been so helpful and courteous to all the
end-users.
By the way, most people I know would be very happy to receive a traffic
map if they were lost in unknown territory. And all of them would read
it rather than shout at the person who tried to help.
