That's because this is not a DJGPP-specific issue.

You see, the FAQ is big enough already. (And please don't be so rude about it.)

I have read around this before - the bugs are well known - but I don't remember
where. You could try searching the c.o.m.d. archive at delorie.com. I'm pretty
sure that that will turn up a lot of articles on the subject.
