Subject: RHIDE and multitaskers

Hi All:

Some days ago Gili (SL) discused about the fact that RHIDE eats all the CPU
under OS/2. He asked to add __dpmi_yield to the idle loop.
I did it in my editor and seems to work. I noticed that the Win95 CPU use
meassure program says that RHIDE uses 100% of the CPU. That isn't true, or
better isn't important under Win95 because if other task needs the CPU Win95
takes CPU time. Seems that OS/2 doesn't have this ability.
After adding the call to yield the editor just uses 2% when is in foreground
and 1% when is in background (the editor have a clock and the editor was in a
window so it needs some CPU).
I'll try to:
1) Send a version of the new editor to Gili to test it under OS/2. The bad
point is that I saw a letter from him (on friday) saying that your account
won't be valid anymore. So perhaps I'll need other user of OS/2 to test it.
2) I'll release a new version of the editor in some days so anybody will be
able to test if __dpmi_yield works fine for the editor.

Greetings, SET
