Suggestion: read the DJGPP FAQ list.  Section 12.1 there explains that 
the init file is called `gdb.ini' in the DJGPP port.  It also lists some 
additional differences between GDB on Unix and on DOS.

The latest version of the FAQ is available as v2/faq210b.zip from the 
same place you get DJGPP.
