Teen Programmers Unite is an organization created to connect teenage
computer programmers
around the world. You may be the only one in your town who knows what a
compiler is, but when
you can communicate with like-minded others from around the world you
can talk about your
programming language of choice and be met with a response other than a
blank stare.
Have a programming question? Chances are that another member can
answer it, whether via the
nearly 24-hr IRC channel, the newsgroups, the web message board, or
e-mailing the members of a
particular interest group. Working on a programming project that you
hope to actually finish
someday? You may find that you want help with a particular piece of the
code, or you're looking
for artists, or musicians. You can search the member profile directory
for people with the
skills you are seeking and be in instant contact with potential
collaborators. Searching for a
libray to perform a particular function or an example of a programming
technique? Check the
source code archive and you may find just what you're looking for.
Remember, TPU is all about communication. Don't be afraid to ask
stupid questions, we
promise we won't laugh too hard.
