Does anyone have any idea on how to make a general API for the Allegro and
GRX palette routines. 

That is to say, you make an API which will be the same, wether or not you
choose to use GRX or Allegro. Since GRX lacks proper documentations I'm
having trouble finding out a way to do this. 

Alternatively if someone could please explain in detail how the GRX palette
(color) routines work!?
